    ProTeam Micromag Help

I am looking into investing in the X-Valve for the Micromag. The mag that I have looks like the Proteam Arena Mag, but without the vertical adaptor. I see the upgrade offer from AGD and seriously thinking of doing it. I was told from Proteam that all the AGD upgrade will work with the gun.

So, which valve do I need? The standard X-Valve or the reverse X-Valve? Do I need to replace the stock single trigger frame? Has anyone done this to their Micomag from Proteam? Will it be hard to fine tuned the level 10 on the X-Valve?

Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.

    X-valve & Micromag

I x-valved my micromag 2000 without any problems. The standard X-valve should work fine for your micromag. Replacing the single trigger is not necessary, but I did because the Benchmark frame which came with my micro had a hard, clumsy trigger pull that, while it improved with the X-valve installed, could'nt compare to the pull of the Intelliframe. Tuning? I thought I'd be at it all day, but it took approximately ten minutes and I was playing with it that day.

You may have some fit problems. I've heard of two, and experienced one. The first is that the bolt may be too tight to fit in to the gun. I didn't have this problem. The second involves the on/off assembly catching on that little step you see in the micromag's body just before the valve goes completely into the frame. I just took a small tool and pushed the on/off assembly up while GENTLY pushing the valve into the body. I can now take the X-valve in and out without any problems. I also put a ULT kit in.

    My X-valved micromag works great.

      I've had X's in and out of Two Micro's... a 2000 ( the vert feed) and a fx ( the powerfeed) ...

Only issue is you'll probably need a different length on/off pin... I know mine was a little touchy...

Standard or Reverse: it doesn't matter it is just a choice of what side you want the hose to come out of... Both will work fine....

As for the frames... that is totally up to you on that one... All the mag frames will fit and function properly ... it is a matter of preference and price...

Tuning the Level 10 ... can be frustrating... but not terribly difficult... just takes a little time, and patience... but once it is done... it's pretty much done... there is plenty of advice on the matter in the Tech Forum... a quick look around will give you all the info you want and more...

get ahold of Tuna.... www.tunamart.com EDIT: Added his e-mail : [email protected]

He'll give you a spiffy price on your X-Valve and install and tune it for you if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself... I don't know if he offers the trade in offer... but I know it might still be worth it... you'll get a price low enough that you might want to keep both valves for a spare or second gun project... or sell one off for a few extra dollars... ( maybe to help finance a new frame )

Tell um I sent ya, it's not just a plug from me anyone here at AO will vouch for him... He's had a few of my markers and a lot of others around here... as I have said before he's the next best thing to having Tom Kaye do the work himself...

Good luck and welcome to AO and I hope you enjoy your mag...
