double shooting

My mech mag is having trouble firing.........

1:
if I pull the trigger slowly, about half way through it will fire full auto, at the completion of the pull it will stop.

2:
about 50/50 chance it will fire on the release of the trigger.
sounds like the on/off has worn down.........am i right?

What are the specs of this gun valve? Bolt? on/off?

its a classic valve all stock with LX.

I am now thinking that it may be my rail........I got a fubared rail from somebody else........and kinda "fixed" it..............but i think the sear is too low. Could the sear being too low cause the problems I stated above?
