    Leaky Classic ...got advice?

Just so everyone knows, I did search the forums for this, I'm looking for a 2nd opinion of sorts.

    Here's the issue.

The last two days I've played with my Classic mag I've started getting a slow leak down the barrel. Slight pressure will quickly stop the leak.

When I rapid fire, the leak my vary from none to a steady hiss. Typically a single shot will get it to stop or substaintially slow down.

Today, I replaced all the o-rings in my On/Off. The issue was still there. So I'm not thinking that it's the o-ring in the carrier of my Level 10. I'm currently using the .5 or half carrier with no shims.

In cleaning the marker tonight I had every intention of replacing the o-ring. Going down to the zero carrier seems way to tight. I'm even suspicious of the o-ring in the carrier being a problem as when I put it on the Level 10 bolt, it 'seemed' to be very snug.

So I'm open to suggestions or confirmation or whatever it is you might have to offer.

Lastly, where can I get soft parts for the Level 10 kit. Namely the white spacer and replacement white o-rings? I'm on my last one. I'm sorry but $1 each at the AGD store seems excessively expensive. Especially considering their shipping charges.

    Thanks much for any assistance!

i had a problem like this recently, you know what i did?

i just swapped out the o-ring for a new one and broke it in the correct way, guess what, problem = none

if u have micro tears/scratches on the orings surface making it not seal, this would be ur culpret, on a .5 carrier if u have a leak then odds are it is the oring cause that is a damn tiny carrier and if its snug, then why should it be leaking :)

my suggestion is a new oring, break it in correctly

    and it will work wonders

i just broke my oring past the 2.5 carrier and droppped it to a 2.0 because when i would touch teh trigger it would hiss, and when the valve was out the bolt would fall off becasue it was getting loose

    GOOD LUCK!

as for the orings....just suck it up, pay about...45 bucks on the r/t oring kit, and some spare parts, and buy a 3.11 dollar tackle box from walmart....you'll be glad u did it, and so will ur buddies...cause u can always sell o--rings if they need em :)

Any place that sells o-rings should be able to get you the proper size.

Your problem is definately in the powertube part of the gun. It could be a bad carrier o-ring. It should only be snug and not tight on the bolt stem. If you are getting leaking that stops when you lightly pull the trigger, it suggests that the vent hole is too far forward. Since you indicated that you are not using any shims, it is possible that your sear is worn a bit at the tip.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Here's another thing that I'm noticing. The .5 carrier appears to be getting some rubbing; both the top and the bottom of the carrier are slightly polished compared to the rest of the body.

This makes a little sense to me since the carrier o-ring will naturally create a pivot point but I'm wondering if anyone else is seeing something like this on their carriers.

        Thanks again guys.

do u have a level 10 bolt installed? otherwise u can buy the powertube spacer kit to help solve barrel leaks

Are you sure the carrier is rubbing? Perhaps you meant the powertube tip. I know there is usually some rubbing on the outside of hte powertube tip.

The carrier o-ring prevents any rubbing inside the carrier due to the carrier hole being quite a bit larger than the inside of the o-ring..
