    Old Valve? No serial numbers..!?

I very recently had an old mag valve that had NOTHING on it. It had no serial numbers, no letters, nothing. It was all chrome. Is that rare or anything? Ive never seen a valve with these characteristics. It was not upgraded anywhere or modified anywhere.

    Question-

Why was my valve like this? Was it rare??

It might be one of the old rt prototype valves.

Here you go, typed by tom kaye.

"Like most things we have inovated over the years, our thinking was way ahead of the players acceptance level. The RT valve was prototyped and shooting in the field in 1991. The SOB's and Jacksonville Warriors shot these valves exclusively for years since they were using HPA before everyone else. There are still some floating around and can be identified because they are not lasered and have a shiny regulator on the back.
        " AGD

Sounds like what you are describing.

Split the reg and look at the reg pin.
The protos had a unique reg pin and a reg seat with a larger hole in it.

Like i said.. i sold it. But ill try and remmember. The on/off valve was strange and unique and was set up odly. The power tube had a spring in it also. It has no type of lazer ingravings anywhere. Its either someone can chrome down past laser ingraving, or its something unique. It had most of the qualities of an air valve, but just extra wierd stuff pretty much.

              Thanks.. still anymore help?

The proto RT valves used A normal Classic type on/off valve. (at least mine does)

They did not have the "RT" effect but they did have the RT airflow and quicker recharge.
I am not sure When the "RT" on/off was added. I think the Jax Warriors helped with that but I am not sure.

The only really obvious difference is the reg pin. the proto's reg pin is a hollow tube with a mushroom shaped dome in the middle.

Its possible but its also possible that someone just polished the valve. Its probably just a polished valve.
                    Who knows though.
