    HELP!FAST! Broke My ULE Bod

    I (like a dumba$$) overtightend my Front Frame screw and stripped out my body. can it be retapped? If so what size tap would I need.

    The screw is a 10-32 button head hex. I think its 3/4" long.


    You could try heli coils if you could find them in that size and length. What I personally would do is take JB weld, fill the hole, drill it out several sizes smaller, and then thread it with a 10-32 thread tap.

        seeing is how I have practice tommorow I need a quick fix Iam talking a 30min quick fix. would i have to use that JB weld or could I just straight out retap it.

          I think you could re-tap it a little larger and use a larger screw as long as it doesn't interfere anywhere. You might have to make the grip frame hole bigger. But the kit mentioned above is a better way to go.

          You could play as normal, but don't tell your friends your gun is broken, and then only do barrel tags...
