    Air America Raptor (not Rex)

Does anyone have one of these regs? Do you have an on/off inline with your system? I'd really like to see some pics of how someone has theirs set up. The biggest drawback to this reg is that there's no freakin' output gauge!!

Anyway, if anyone has pics, that would help out a lot!

    Thanks!

Yeah I got one, and had another...

Just find an "T" elbow and add an output gauge either right at the tank, or as a friend use to run his right at the valve... and never used an on/off just always used a pro-connect and have always swore by um... Not cheep for a fitting, but they just work...

There are other solutions but that one has always worked well and very reliably for many many years...

Most popular way of handing this.
use a pro-connect/staubli, and use a mag tourney locking ring, use a AA guardian or similar reg tester/pressure tester, and set pressure to want you want. Then lock the ring to the adjuster, so you can adjust out slowly and return back to same pressure. If you want to turnthe adjuster down to 0psi, you will need to adjust out a turn or two, and shoot the gun 3-4 shots and repeat as necessary. This keeps it from clipping the piston o-ring.

I use the Raptor on gun in a Benchmark cradle. I put a standard Automag tourney lock over the Raptor adjustment screw so I don't accidentally change the output pressure. I have a 6" steel braided hose attached to the output, with a slide check and a QD female end. The male QD fitting is connected to a 90 deg. elbow directly to the AIR valve on my Classic. The slide check serves as the on/off (keep it well oiled!) and makes getting the tank off the gun a snap.

        Hope that helps.

Air America makes great products, and thier service can't be beat. I bought my Raptor in 1995, and it's worked flawlessly until this last summer, when it started leaking out the fill valve. I sent it to AA, and they fixed it for free under thier bulletproof lifetime warranty.
