Switched body and Tsssk (sandpaper question)

ok, im trying to put on a minimag body that was annoed chrome.going onto a rouge rail and sear doesnt seem to hit correctly with the on / off of the x valve.

so i compared the 2 bodys, a minimag is the one i want on there and i was switching it from a SS warp left body.

the minimag body sear hole is a tad little smaller then the SS warp. Looks like a little bit of anno went in the body too. its kinda rough. My thoery is that the anno made the hole alittle bit smaller and the sear is hitting part of the hole were the on / off is.

My question is what is a good kind to sandpaper i can sand a little bit of the hole to make it bigger and sand alittle in the inside of the body?

Well, since you cant annodize stainless steel, that means you got it chrome plated. There's kind of a problem with this, it changes the tolerences alot.
There isnt a problem with sandpapering it down, except you might scratch your new finish.
Really when you got it chromed you should have told them to not chrome any part that touches the rail because thats what throws the tolerences off.
A dremel is the best way, other than that, try low grit sandpaper or a metal file. :)

Why would you crome an already stainless steel body?

Hone out the body with fine sandpaper (220 grit will work great inside the body) to remove rough parts. Run a drill through the hole that the on-off pin goes through. Use a file to widen the slot for the sear (only make a few passes). You don't want to remove too much metal, only enough to allow the sear to properly rotate.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
