AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I'm not new to cockers but I just got a new one and I need to reset the LPR and Reg. Is there anyway I can do at least one of them? Or do I need special tools and such?
If by reset you mean sweetspot, you'll need a set of hex keys to alter the pressure on most regs. Shouldn't need anything else that I can think of, other than paint and a chronograph.
Proper regulator sweetspotting procedure can be found here:
Sweetspotting your LPR is dead simple. Sweetspot your primary regulator and then don't touch it.
If you want to minimize force on the paint:
Turn the LPR down until it no longer cycles properly, then give it a quarter or half turn up.
If you want to maximize bolt speed:
Turn your LPR up until something leaks or you blow a hose off. If you have an eblade, turn the LPR up until it starts venting itself to release pressure. Turn it back down a quarter or half turn.
Making the action soft on paint will require a really smooth ram, and a lightweight pump arm, back block, and bolt. The bolt should be well-fitting and not have any major drag either.
Maximizing bolt speed will cause extra wear and tear on your marker's parts in most cases, but it's not something to worry about.
