i just got my first mag from the trades forum here about a week ago. finally got to go play with it yesterday. took a spill in the sand at the local field so i stipped it down to clean it all up and whatnot when i got home. i was sure to de-gas the the gun (have an AA Apoc tank on it) by turning off the tank and dry firing. however apparently the part of the valve that makes it "reactive" was still under pressure when i took the valve off the body/rail. soon as the on-off was clear of the body all the peices of the brass on-off were ejected from the valve at approximately 1/3 the speed of light. i never would have noticed, if it hadnt been for the load noise and the disturbance in the air caused by those peices flying about an inch past my ear. anyway i put it back together and gased up to lube the system and when i de-gased (same process... turned off tank and fired till it wont fire anymore) i can still feel the air kicking the trigger forward. how do i get ALL the air out of the valve?

the easiest solution is to put a slide check in the gas line some where, also when you take out the field strip screw apply pressure with the palm of your hand on the back of the valve and slowly let it out it should pop there and keep all the pices close together so they dont go flying. as in its still face down on the rail so it pops and is stopped by the rail.
good luck and come back with any other questions.GearAGD - "[/tom kaye shakes head in disbelief]"

wow... that was a quick reply. so basically its gonna stay partially gased until i bleed the lines or take it apart? i have macroline on it atm so im not sure how go about setting up something similar to a slide check.Comment
