    quick sealing question

    If Im out of teflon tape and my steel braided is leeking at the moment would it work to duct tape it up for one day...or maybe electrcial tape... or do I have to take my lazy to the store

    If it were me, I would just save myself the headache and get some more teflon. If you have blue loctite, you can use that as a temporary fix instead of the tape, but then you have the problem of getting it back out (without destroying the fitting). I doubt you would be able to get the fitting to thread in with something as thick as electric or duct tape.

      Blue loctite is actually pretty easy to get apart its the red stuff thats annoying, the blue stuff is also not rated for high pressure and will almost def leak. Your best bet really is to get some teflon tape.

        you might be able to simple screw the fitting in fairly tight with out tape at all, however you can damage the threads if you do it to much, for a "quick fix"

            I always use blue locktite. I have never had a problem with leakage, or backing out the fitting.

              teflon....that's just crazy use pipe dope, that will fix it up good!!!!
