    Help my gun hates me.

Hi this is my first post but i just got my first Minimag ever and all i can say is i am amazed how accurate it is with my 14"j&j and also how comfy the dye intelle frame and dye stickys are. So it was set at 300 fps and we were playing bush ball but i thought id be smart and see how hard this thing can shoot well i end up putting it at 450 fps and giving my freind a very large lump on his head. But it was all fun and games until halfway through the third game my gun starts shooting CO2 out of the bolt and it won't stop but if i hold down the trigger it stops. so i suspected that i had split an O-ring or something but iv taken the valve apart cleaned it checked the O-rings and everything 3 times over and it still does this. also my bolt will not move forward it just stays there and shoots co2 out. and i have to get it fixed before wednesday. so any help at all would be great. <--also cool smileys.

first off 450 not cool 300 not cool!! take your pressure down also it sounds like you toasted an oring with the co2 replace all the orings in the forward half of the marker and you should be set but if you keep shooting so hot im sure you will break somthing again!!
VV04962 yeah thats my Pewter CnC X-mag

Looking for a milled 04 featherlight viking!!!

You just froze an O-ring. AIR valves do not like liquid co2 running through them. If you have the tank on-gun.. this is always going to happen unless it is verticle. (as in, upright). Is the gun LV10? It wouldnt hurt to replace the carrier oring, or, if lvl7, the power tube oring.

If it happens again durring a game, the best thing to do is hold the trigger (this shuts off the on/off) point the gun so the tank valve is facing UP (to keep the liquid in the bottom of the tank) and take a few shots to clear the liquid co2 from the gun. Hold the trigger until the oring thaws a little.

Co2 on a mag could be a REAL pain. I ran a remote with 2 epansion chambers for years. If you are going to keep playing paintball, then I would definately suguest going air. A decent HP air bottle would run about $200 new, less used, and you could use it on whatever gun you bought in the future.

Any other questions, feel free to ask

      Hope this helped

Yeah, I'd suspect that is an oring freeze...Switch to nitro :) Good luck with your minimag in the future.

i don't think smart fits in this statement. to be honest, that's one of the most idiotic things i heard of regarding pantball.

            ...someone loses an eye?

Look I know it's your first post and I don't want to jump all over you, but this is incredibly dangerous! You could break someone's mask and cause a serious injury. Never exceed 300 fps when shooting the marker at someone. For that matter, never exceed 300 fps for any reason. Even that speed can sting like hell and can really ring someone's bell if you hit them in the head from close range.

Never go over 300!! Enough beat down. Did you pull the brass tip off the power tube? If not do so & check the oring in there. If you dont have one try & see if anyone has a mag vid they are selling it is very helpful. Enjoy your mag!!!!

the mag vid is helpfull and my neighbor has one sitting on the shelf at his store if yuor interested his site is www.majorpaintball.com I'm sure you could get it at a pretty deccent price, he's not a huge retail store (I remember when his fill station was chained to the drill press in his wood shop, now he builds the "master mines").

As said above a complete front half oring replace should help ya out.

I hate to do this but I'm going to...

                300+

I sucked liquid in my desert fox years ago and got a hot shot, a pretty hot shot

next thing I knew, my buddy was having surgery and has never set foot within 500 of a paintball gun since.

By accident I took something a good friend of mine loved doing away from him, trust me, it's NOT worth the cool factor to have bragging rights that your gun can shoot that fast.

And btw, gogles do crack and or break, I have had a lens break durring play becasue some one did what you did, I'm very lucky to still have both my eyes but I do have a scar over my left eye where the lens hit.

yea i checked all the o-rings in the front half of the gun but there all perfect i cleaned it and re-oiled it but it still does it.i have an expansion chamber on the front of the gun but i guess it does work very well. I took it too my local shop yesterday and im going to go and pick it up today and go play some bushball.

Also its not like i chrono-ed it. my gun was just haulin. but it was shooting as fast as those brass eagle pump guns those things are like mini shotguns. Plus if your mask is built for 300 fps it should break at 600 not at 450.
