    classic mag help

    Hello all

After a 10 year absence, I've seen the light and returned to the paintball scene with my trusty L7 automag.

As a precaution I replaced all the seals and everthing seemed to be going along quite well until I fired the marker as fast as I could. The marker would lose velocity unless I slowed the trigger speed down.It felt as if there wasn't enough air in the marker.

    Any ideas??

Problem No.2...the new regulator seat doesn't 'snap' into it's hole causing (I think) a first 'hot' shot and air leaking from the back of the marker, so I put the old one back in (it's over 10 years old!) and the problem was solved...is this a common problem with the regulator seats as the other 3 new ones I bought have all acted in the same way?

    cheers

you probibly figured this out but.... the reg seats only go in one way, the other way they fall out.

as per your shoot down, if you are running co2 that can be a problem, so HPA would be a good step. but more than likely you are just exceeding the limits of the valve system, and if not perhaps your tank is low.. just some ideas.

        thanks for the replies

Another question (remember I've been out of the paintball scene for over 10years!!) but what is the preferred bottle regulator output for the classic?

I've currently got a 3000psi bottle thats regulated to 800psi but I've seen some that have a 350-400psi reg...any ideas?

        cheers

you need the higher output reg'd bottles...

make sure you get your bottle tested before you get it filled! don't want another casualty due to dodgy bottles!!

your 800 psi output should work like a charm. Do you have any thong inbetween your asa and valve such as an expansion chamber? Sometimes they will cause shoot down.

jamescell...I've got a foregrip inline reg as well as the one on the bottle and the mags' own!!

I've posted on other paintball forums about having three regs, but didn't receive any convincing answers..except that it won't harm the marker, it would be an extra safety feature and would make it more consistant

              cheers
