Level X problem

I just got level 10, and it chuffs after every other shot when I dry fire. I am using #2 carrier and 2 shims. Any ideas? Can you not rapid fire with level X?

oil it , increase velocity a tad.

Make sure it is well oiled and try shooting it without your barrel on and see if it still acts up. I could be that the bayonet track is worn out (if you have a non-ule body on your mag).
