    sweetspotting

    hey all,
ive got a question regarding sweetspotting and setting up my trgger. i run an xvalve w/lvlx bolt, ult trigger and chimera frame. my main question is why can i get my gun to sweetspot with no paint (just cycle) but not with paint. i mean i dont really care to go auto but hey its cool. mainly im wondering if my trig is not adjusted properly.
    thx

if you dont have an adjustable output pressure tank, dont plan on sweetspotting a ULT
if you have one, crank it up to around 1100 psi, the ULT is so nuts at that pressure, walkable, extremely easy to sweetspot, everything.

also, a buddy and me made a franken mag using the uppers from an emag (body, valve) and the lowers from a 68 classic automag for his girlfriend to play with. it had the sear/trigger from an automag and an emag valve. all of it was running off of a crossfire preset hi pressure. man, that thing sweetspotted so easy, it was friggen amazing! so here me going insane e mode on the emag, my buddy going insane sweetspot on his logic vert/ult/flatlined monster, and his girlfriend sweetspotting on her frankenmag, it was some serious intimidation. no wonder our 4 person mag team owned the whole field of cockers/timmies

        muhahaha

The ULT was actually designed to lighten trigger and TAKE AWAY BOUNCE from Retro/x valves. If you use 850 psi reg, you won't be able to bounce it well. If you can't get an adjustable tank, use the stock on/off assembly to get bounce.

Does a higher pressure air input make the ULT feel heavier?

No. The trigger pull force is a direct result of the air pressure in the front chamber of the valve acting on the small part of the on-off pin. Input pressure does affect the trigger return force though by acting on the larger top of the on-off pin (higher pressure = more trigger kick). In a retro valve, the higher input force acting on the larger part of the on-off pin when compared to the lower chamber pressure acting on the smaller part of the on-off pin means the trigger return force will be greater than the trigger pull force.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

The ULT removes bounce at lower pressures but when jacked up, it is much nicer than the stock, and i have tried both.
