he is using nitro with a macro line, it is coming out of the direct back of the valve

circled in red is where the air is leaking out

        answer

        It it either:
1... because the velocity is too high, they are made to vent out the back if shooting 320+ fps
2...the regulator piston is bad (this is the piece that insures air pressure not to high)

Turn the velocity down until the leak stops...if it seems to be shooting fast enough, then that was the problem. But if it only stops when velocity is too low to shoot, it is the reg piston.

Pic of reg piston (it is under the velocity nut, more or less):

              oil

Try lubing it up with some oil. Do you know when the last time all the orings where changed?

Replace the Spring pack. It is located in the back of the marker , under the velocity screw. It looks like a bunch of stacked black orings.

                    orings

When I got my classic the person who used it before used CO2. I had all kinds on problems at first. I changed all the o-rings and spring (rebuilt kit) and started using air. No probs then. But yea before I rebuilt it, I always got problems with the on/off getting stuck and air leaking from the back.

                    Good luck....

That's so cool that a shop that acutally works on 'Mags even exists. Here in So-Cal it's impossible. I mean there's a store called ANS Extreme, but the just sell the parts. They don't know crap about 'Mags at all.

So me, I'm my own tech. Unless it's really complicated and/or involves machinery to fix it.

seeing as jewie kinda went off topic already....around here (WI/IL) there are a few stores with techs that can fix mags. but usually, if i cant fix it myself or find a friend that knows whats wrong with it, i just make the half hour drive to AGD and have it fixed there. then im back up in no time.
