Rt/Shim Problems

im Very New to Mags.so i have NO idea what most are talking about.my gun came Fully assembled so i dont know what the peices are.
Ok i just bought a Rt ule custom from airgun's store.

set up is Ule body
ult
X valve with lvl 10
single trigger
47cu 3000psi

Ok i got the gun out of the box and i gassed it up, the stock Asa threads were.. off and my gun bleed out teh Asa so i Removed and added my own on/off/drop /macro set up.

gassed up and i pulled the trigger and it went Fulllly auto <pull once and i lost control and it just fired tell i turned my drop Off.

So i figured it was Shims so i went to remove shims from the place in pictures. it had 1 inside so i decided to add 1 , No help i kept adding and it just went into fully auto, <hold trigger and its auto> im Not sure its supposed to do that but if it is yay lol

so my question is, Where do Shim's go., is it a Factory Error and needs to send back? its really sweet and i like it as far as feel, but i've been Tinkering with the Shim's for over 3 hrs.

im Low on air and cant get my tanks filled until tommorw <If weather is nice> i have about 1000 Psi left and it goes fast.

so any help is much appreciated! i can be on for a few hrs so im here waitng for any help Thx

The shimms that you have removed are the lvl 10 shims. Those control the sealing point of the bolt. The shimms that you want to adjust are the ULE trigger shimms. Those are located int he on/off. The on/off is locateed under the valve. Its the brass part that is in the power tube half of the valve. Before you try to tweak the trigger shims i would recomend you set the correct carrier in your lvl 10. What you want to do is look at that cd that came with your lvl 10 kit and use the biggest carrier that dose not leak. Then put in the medium or small spring, depending on how soft you want it You also wont really need the lvl 10 shims as most of the time there unececarry. Once you have that done you can mess around with the ULE trigger shimms. Its pretty simple you want to get it to the point that it dosent short stroke, but at the same time you dont want it to go full auto. To little shimms will cause you to short stroke more, and to many will cause full auto. Your gonna have to play around with that one and find an inbetween that works for you. Last drop some oil in the asa to lube up the gun really nice. Hope that helps!

Prise out the brass on/off under the valve - it can be a little stiff sometimes
it will pop off eventually.

when taking the ULT appart, you have to pull the halves slightly appart before they will unscrew properlythen you can get to the shims...

remember this though.... OIL (Autolube, KCtrouble free, Love Juice) is your Mags bestest friend!! reall oil the hell out of the On/Off and it should help a little :) (or a lot!!)

^^ thx for the help :) i hope to be able to master Automga's like i have to my tippmanns, <which i can put together blindfolded!> i got it off and took one shim, but im outta air so i cant test for a while =/ thats the biggest problem. we hav ONE field on this island, and if its raining they dont show =/

Im having the same problem, except ive been messing with the shims for 3 hours and it fire twice fine, then about every third shot just poops a ball out the barrel. When you take apart the ULT just make sure u set it up right on the table, because the little O-Rings can get lost and they are really hard to find if they fall on the ground. Ive tried 1 shim, 2 , 3, 4, and i think 5 and 2 , 3, and 4 in my lvl 10 and it still gets stuck.

Aight thx for the help! i had 5 to many shims making me not shooting ... i have 4 in now and its working very nice. bolt sticks so ima oil it a bit, Thx again!
