i just got a mag too. you have to give it a 1/4 twist, then pull it straight out. it might be hard to pull it out, so pull hard.

if it's a field rental 'mag then no amount of pulling and twisting is going to get the barrel out.

This is from havoc-online.com and he says:

                "1. A stuck barrel (twist-lock) -

If it's usually hard to get out, try loosening the allen screw under the twist-lock assembly, that will put less tension on the locking pin. The locking pin may be bent(get a new one) or the barrel may have developed a burr that needs to be removed."

Good luck and welcome to the family.

Hey guys welcome to AO and congrats on becoming 'Mag owners. I hope you take this opportunity to educate yourselves on 'Mags to carry one the AGD pride.

Anyways, The easiest way if it's REALLY REALLY STUCK is to unscrew the frame screw. It's in the trigger frame. Take that out and the body will come off the rail. Then the barrel will slide right out. (make sure to unscrew the back screw in the frame holding the valve too).

While you have the gun apart it's time to clean up all the dirt and paint with a wet rag. Then go ahead and oil the valve with a good paintball oil or Autolube.

Any more questions? Just ask me or anyone else on AO. I'll be around.

hope you got the barrel out....

generaly the first thing i wold do is back that front frame screw off some. they may have just put the crank down on it, or it cold be a diff screw thats to long(ie mine wich has t have spacer to make it tighten properly.) if that didnt do it just dissasemble the whole gun like the guyabove me said . may as well anyways makes for a whole lot better cleaning......

Another Automag secret: When the Automag is gassed up, did you know you can dunk it in a bucket of water to clean it? Yes, you can fully submersed the whole thing underwater. Unless it has electronic parts...

It's a quick way of washing it.

If it's a micromag the barrel may not be removable.
