AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
hey i have a problem wit my rt mag.... the banjo bolt? that hold my inteleframe on in the back comes out a little but then spins and wont come all the way out? any help?
The threads on your banjo bolt could be stripping or worst case scenario is the threading inside the back of the valve is stripping. That's my best guess since you say it slides back and the screw comes out a little. It's normal for the valve to slide back a little once you tighten the bolt especially when using a long spring. If it's anymore than a few mm's and the banjo bolt is becoming loose then something is wrong.
Make sure the main body and the rail are aligned. Sometimes the main body and the rail are just enough that the Banjo bolt doesn't go in. Loosen up the allen screw by your trigger to allow the body to shift just a little to align it. Also this helps greatly in saving the Banjo bolt o-rings from getting cut. Hope this helps. The only other thing that I could think of is the Banjo bolt or the valve may have damaged threads.
mine did that once, an o-ring has probably hung up. Take the front screw out out the trigger frame. It should come off whith the banjo bolt still in the intelliframe, and the valve and body free. it's alot easier to get the busted o-ring out that way than to risk tearing up the threads.
Does the bolt screw into the valve and hold it securely?
---if it does then the screw and valve are not stripped .....this would be good.
If it is not stripped then one of the 3 orings on the bolt are getting caught and are most likely destroyed already. You can try and pull it out, as long as it is unscrewed from the valve, then pull hard. If it won't come out (most likely in there good), then you will need to tear the marker down.
----take out the front frame screw and the body and rail should come apart. You should be able to force out the bolt now.
You will have to get new banjo bolt orings. Lube them well, with grease, and reassemble the marker.
I had this happen once on my old RT......had to pull Extremely hard on the banjo bolt to get it out. One of the orings was sliced and got hung up in the rail.
Remember to grease these whenever you take apart the marker to help prevent it from happening again.
hey yah it holds in there just fine.... but i cant get it out... i think it is the o ring.. wow never thought THAT would give me that much trouble... anyone wanna volenteer to be my mag guide? lol add me to msn [email protected] ...... i might come up with some other questions...
I have had 7 RT mags, and this has only happened on 1 of them. But it happens every time without the fix. For some reason the banjo bolt goes in too far, so one of the orings gets expanded from air pressure (or something like that)! The way to fix it is to put another oring on the banjo bolt itself, right against the thumbscrew part. I used an old on/off o-ring I think. This keeps the bolt from going in too far and allowing the oring to expand. Dont ask me how or why, all I know is it works and is the only fix I found for the problem. All my other RT's worked fine without doing this, but that one....it took me hours to figure it out.
And yes, to get it out you need to take the rail off and push on that oring from the back side. And/or pull very hard...the oring is most likely shot anyway.
