    Flatline Question

Just bought a 68/45 flatline. the output was set at 400. I hooked to my mag and wanted to set it around 900, tha output gauge won't go past 600, and when I turn the reg in to try and up the pressure it starts to leak out the front. Now I know it's supposed to do that at a certain pressure (safety raeasons) Is it possible the gauge is bad, it does have a crack in it. Do the reg pistons wear out on these, all the mags I've had, I never had to change that part. and what is the max output psi that i can set it to? Any info appreciated.

It sounds like a bad reg piston, you should be able to turn it up over 1000psi at a minimum. Send it to Tuna he will get it fixed up for you.

      it could be the gauge...

The crack in the gauge could definately be the problem. I have had many flatlines and a cracked gauge can stop the needle from moving. Replace the gauge if you have another one, or pressure upo the gun and fire it. If the needle is moving freely, it will bounce when you fire. If it doesnt go down on each fire, then the crack is probably stopping the needle.

I agree with zackzel, bad reg piston. I just had to replace mine myself. You will need a new reg piston assembly and a new reg seat, as the old one is destroyed when you remove the reg piston. Tunaman has the parts. If you don't feel confident in replacing the parts yourself, let someone else do it. Its not particularly hard, but it is not super easy either. If you do it incorrectly, you can damage your new parts.

Thanks for the help, problem was with the reg seat, but the gauge being messed up didn;t help either. replaced seat and gauges and it's all good
