It's not much of a wiring diagram, but:
Sounds like a vibration problem to me too. Maybe the circuit board screw is loose.
Also, check the battery contacts. -
Check the screw that holds the board in the grip frame. Many Xmags and emags have annodize on the threads in that hole. This prevents a good ground connection. I had the same problem in my emag. Clean the screw hole by running a tap into the threads to cut out the annodize and corrosion. This will give you a good electrical connection and hopefully gets rid of your problems.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.Comment

Check what athomas said and also check the power lead screw. It's the screw that the battery post contacts to send power to the board. The other nickel plated post on the frame is a drive screw and that's for ground. Check the power lead screw to make sure it is tight and has nylon insulators between it and the bottom of the frame and between the top of the frame and the ring terminal.
