Can you use a Halo with stock detents? And a couple more ?'s...

Second question: If you make a mag into a Spydermag, can you still use the original mech frame without having to switch sears or anything?

Third question: With an X-valve, how do you adjust velocity?

Fourth question: Ive heard you shouldnt screw the back frame screw all the way in or something. Why is this?

Just want to get the basic facts down before i begin bulding my T-boarded ramping Spyder-Paradigm, muahahaha.

I have a halo and i use stock detents... works just fine for me...

I dont know much about spydermags so im gonna leave the answer to someone else...

I dont have an Xvalve but i assume velocity is adjusted the same as on any other automag valve with an allen key at the back of the valve...

and you should only hand tighten that back frame screw to A: make sure you have proper valve alignment in your rail... and B: so that you can take your valve out without any tools (a totally awesome feature when you forget your wrenches...)

I use a Halo B with the stock AGD Detents. Works fine.

Spydermags, I believe a sear modification is part of the conversion. So you would need a different sear. Or... no.

You adjust the velocity on X-Valves just like on any other mag, through the back with an allen-screw. Technically, you can also switch springs for velocity adjustment, but, well... that's getting technical.

I've been told by AGD techs that tightening it a bit with an allen wrench is a very good idea.

I made myself a spyder mag and you do need another sear to go back to mechanical. The sear is cut up alot to do the conversion. I recomend getting a couple of sears, I didn't get right till the third sear. Their is very small margin for error when grinding the sear. Unless you have alot of patience , drill press, and a dremel, I do not recomend doing the conversion.

AGD detents are probably the best detents out there. (Well, other than those custon $25x ones) I switched all of my guns to the AGD detents and they work great with the Halo
