    Misc Parts

    I have a few questions...

I am putting together a new mag and need to know what extra parts I may need. I've bought a Dallara body kit, an X-valve, a Y-Grip, and ULT, as well as an Air America Armageddon tank. I have a list of parts that I believe I need:

    1. Front frame screw
    2. Rail bushing
    3. Field strip screw
    4. AM/MM Sear
    5. Sear Pin

A few extra detents, parts kit, as well as macro line fittings and line.

I always bought mags put together so I'm trying to recall off of memory what they need. Right now, I'm in Afghanistan so I can't exactly look at my current Mag...I also have little time to be on the internet to search through everything but this is what I've come up with. If anybody can think of what else I may need, I'd GREATLY appreciate it.

Another thing is that this is my first experience with an adjustable tank. All my other ones were screw in so I'm not exactly sure what I need to actually mount this thing to my marker. I don't need a drop because I think the Y-grip will put it far enough forward for me. Any help on this would also be appreciated.

One last thing since I've been out of the game for a bit. I used to have a Ricochet and was wondering if anyone had some personal experience on the Ricochet Apache. I like the Ricochets and don't think I'll be able to outshoot them or anything so I really don't see a need for a Halo or anything.

Thanks in advance. Any input will be helpful. I hope to have all the parts sitting at my house so when I get home, I can put it together, tune it and go play.

      I'll answer your hopper question.

The Apache doesn't have a ball counter and thus doesn't have the 155 shot count alarm like the 2k does, so I'd say go with the 2k.

Thanks! I really appreciate it. I'll keep that in mind. I may just get a Halo anyways because I'm thinking that I may buy an electro soon too. Of all the reading I've been doing, it almost seems like you must have one to keep up on a speedball field. On a related note, does anyone know much about the Omens with the one of the newer boards?

In that case, the Apache is the lightest of the "faster" hoppers. You could do a battery mod to a Halo to make it lighter, but I don't think it will be as light as an Apache. Another feature unique to the Apache is that it can function as a gravity feed if the batteries or something else died. Sure, you could rip drive a Halo but then you're flirting with $130. LCD Apaches still have the game timer, so at least that's nice. Also, you're not going to outshoot an Apache's 18bps feedrate without the assistance of bounce.

Halos have their quirks: the occassional jam, eye can't see dark-shelled paint (so it won't spin), beads break, drive cones break........ Now, a Reloader B is sound activated so that would subtract the eye problem, but still...

Go Apache, 2k, or both! You could defintely get both for the cost of a Halo.
