Help with Apocalypse 2k

Hey all, just wondering I did wrong. I hope nothing major went wrong! I hope i didnt mess up the pin valve, when I got the tank, it seemed loose so it a little with my hand. But anyways, when i went to gas up my marker, i heard a POP! and I knew the burst disk was toast. I pulled it off the gun and found that I was correct. How should I go about trying to gas it up when I replace the burst disk? I dont want to give it too much pressure and I dont want the front to shoot off. Any advice greatly appreciated!

well if you messed with something get the schematic of air america's website, or send it to them if you dont feel comfy with it. If not just replace the burst disk and gas it up. You cant prevent the disk from bursting by turning the on/off a special way.

Any idea which burst disk blew? High pressure side might be a regulator seat failure. Low pressure side you might have had the imput pressure set too high.

Ok. What part was loose? you werent very clear.
When airing it up, make sure that the velocity adjuster is all the way out, not out of the body, but adjusted most of the way out (just the first time). make sure that it is turned off also. and make sure you tell the person filling it, to fill it slow. Most people just whack the air on it and slam, 3000psi+ straight into the tank, which isnt any good for any tank. and let us know which burst disk went, it is needed info to diagnose your problem.

sorry i wasnt clear about everything. It was the low pressure disk that burst. The part that I tightend was the "nut/spring" that adjusts input pressure. It just felt too loose like when it was gassed up it was going to fly off. Im sure thats what went wrong, but I dont see why, I wouldnt think I was giving it to much pressure. However I did tighten it a couple of turns which would have upped the pressure too high if it was factory set at 750. Anyone have any idea if the regulator is damaged? cuz I just bought the damn thing new from AA for $270 and they just upped the price back to 370! Thanks for all the help again!

You probably just screwed the output pressure adjuster in too far... It should feel loose when you have the on/off in the off position... I doubt that the reg was damaged... Just get a new burst disk, back out the output pressure adjuster several turns, and gas it up... Then you can increase the pressure slowly while watching the output pressure guage...

I'll second that. AirAmerican HPA systems are very good. I would think there be anything else wrong. Just replace the burst disk and back off the reg adjustment before filling.

I hope you guys are right! That is what I was planning on doing, but im new to the adjustable regulators on the tanks. Thanks again for all the help. What output pressure is everyone using on an Xvalved mag? Just wondering,

I run my Apoc. at about 1100-1200 psi on my Emag...

Yup, back the adjuster out till its 3/4 the way out, then fill. Make sure the on/off is OFF. sometimes, with it on, and an unknowning knuckle dragger fills it way too fast it can blow the lp disc. Just remember that if it happens again, just send it back in to AA, it does have a lifetime warranty! just in case something is really wrong with it.
