    Fireblade in Mech Mode

So, anyone have any idea how to make the Fireblade on an Emag work in Mech mode? It works just dandy in E & Hybrid mode, but sits dead in the water in Mech mode.

    Any fixes out there?

You have to adjust your sear rod length, I think everyone with a fireblade had the same problem.

    quikkk and i win.

I don't use mine in mech mode basically b/c it doesn't work. I think it's b/c of that dimple they cut out of it in the back. And I'm not about to start messing with the length of my sear.

Argh. Yeah, I'm not sure I want to start messing with the sear rod...won't that mess up the tolerances?

Don't worry, its not something you cant "undo"

Adjust the rod to move it closer to the back fo the trigger. Then test it. There should be enough space for it to fire in E mode without touching the trigger rod. You may have to adjust the magnet in the trigger itself. It will just take a little patience. The trouble with the fireblade, is that there really isnt a happy medium - either e mode works good, OR Mech mode. They never seem to both work good at the same time. Some people even remove the rod altogether and just go with the e mode.

Do you think if I remove my sear rod that it would possible to get a higher rate of fire? Then again, hybrid mode would be obsolete.

A trigger rod adjustment is what it would take, pretty much what you have to do to get a happy medium in all three modes of fire on most Emags anyway but that's pretty much it.

FYI,I also pull the trigger rod off all my E/Xmags.It will add maybe an extra BPS to the max ROF but it's really nothing major.

I do it cause it's the only way to make 'em legal,or as close to legal as they can be.
