Xmag battery only lasts 3 hours max

Hello, I had to buy a back up battery since I only get maybe 3-4 hours and that includes powering it off in bewteen games. I use the radip shack wall charger for a few hours then peak the battery with the cigarette lighter just before matches. I want to know how long eveyone is getting on their batteries. Thanks, John

Probably its bad. Call AGD and ask them, you'll probably need to buy a new one. I can go for a couple of days on mine.

Something is wrong. We have two Emags here and by just using the AGD car charger they easily last per charge all day. I stored mine away after the last tournament (with out charging)this fall in October for a couple months. It still had juice when I pulled the pin to get it ready for the spring and worked just fine in February. I suspect the charger isn't right or the battery may be bad.

How long are you leaving it on the car charger. I dont think the radio shack charger is doing the job. I have a brand new battery, i just got last week. Thanks, John

I plan on making my own batteries using better cells real soon

Sounds to be the battery, I would contact tunaman to get a new one. I had an e-mag doing the same thing about a year ago, It would only last for an hour or so at the most.

try just charging it overnight with just the car charger. i had a radio shack charger that was good for nothing. if the battery responds the same way with using just the car charger then you may have to buy a new one.

You are not going to find a charger much better than the Radio Shack 273-1779.That's all I use and they rock. You are also not going to find many better cells than the ones AGD uses in their batteries. With proper care they last a VERY long time. Making your own batterypacks reguires specialized soldering equipment and its not easy. Trust me on this one. By the time you buy the equipment needed to make the battery, you will have spent 4 times what it would cost for a new one from me or AGD.
