Does the Lvl 10 spring matter???

Hey right now i have the smallest spring on my bolt, but what would happen if i put the red or gray springs instead of the goldish one?

It probably wouldn't fire unless you turn your velocity adjustment up. If you could get it to fire by turning your velocity adjusment up it would be easier on paint.

You'll have better resistance to bolt sticks, but it will be harder to turn down the velocity.

The longer, stiffer springs put more resistance on the bolt. That means there is less force acting on the ball, so there is less chance of chopping. Using a heavier spring requires you to increase the operating pressure of the mag chamber to achieve the same fps (ie; turning up the velocity). Having a spring that is too heavy, will result in you not being able to operate your gun at a low enough velocity setting.

A good way to set it up is to put the next larger spring on and increase the velocity if the gun doesn't fire. You should be approximately 20fps above the minimum velocity the gun will operate at. That will give you consistency and be easy on paint.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
