    gun advise

    Hello all,

I use to read this board about 5 -6 years ago and due to a move kind of got out of paintball a little. I have a very nice automag classic power feed. I would like some advise on the E/X mag. What is the differance between the two? Is the price differance worth it?

I am thinking of going with one of these just because I love my regular mag so much. I do not play with friends who have high end guns so I do not have anything to compare to. One friend has an older Angel which is pretty nice.

What should I look for in a used gun as far as software or whatever? Does the E/X mag have burst or full auto settings? I know I have a ton of questions, any help would be great.

Oh ya, if anyone has a pretty nice gun they want to sell, let me see it. Thanks for your help.

The big difference between the E-Mag and X-Mag is the X's body. The E-Mag is still a body/rail/frame, the X has the body and rail milled from the same piece. X-Mags are more expensive, E-Mags will run $500+ ish. The X also has a removable breech block to take either CF or Warp modules.

E and X Mags both use the same software, I know that 1.37 has 3 and 6 shot burst modes, older editions had Full Auto, 3.2 is capped at 20bps (vs 1.37 which is 16) and has some other nifty little features along with it.

If you're just looking for something that'll shoot faster than your Mag you could always invest in one of the new-ish sub $400 electros that are kicking around. I dunno, good-luck.

I know there are a ton of lower priced electos out there. The reason for wanting a E/X Mag is for reliabilty. My gun has never failed me when other guys around me are always having problems. I would assume that an electronic Mag would give me the same reliability.

I asked the same question earlier this week and the best place to get answers is www.airgun.com and there is an excellent article on www.warpig.com on the emag. The devilmag can be viewed at www.devilsden.tv and is quite a beast.
