    MicroMag won't fire.

There is a MicroMag on the wall at one of the local shops.
I'm interested in picking it up, but when it's gassed up it will not fire.
It has the stainless MicroMag valve.
When it's gassed up it clicks as if it should be ready to fire.
When you pull the trigger you can feel the sear pushing the on/off, but it just will not fire.
The shop owner put a few drops of oil in the asa before we put gass thru it.
He said it worked great when he put it on the wall about a year ago.
What do you fellows think it could possibly be.

    idea

idea .. take the on/off out and clean and oil it ... put itback in valve and add some more oil .. my guess is the on/off is sticking ... on it from sitting .. also take out and oil the on/off pin .. and make sure it is all clean..

It definately is sticking. I've gotten the same thing from my mag when I either have the front frame screw too tight or the wrong size carrier with the lvl 10. Two things you can try:

Try adjusting the front frame screw and the field strip screw so they are both screwed in the same amount.

      Or

Check and see if it's a micromag valve with a lvl 10 or if it just has the stock lvl 7. If it's lvl 10, try putting in a larger carrier.

And yes, definately oil the on/off.

I'll try oiling the on/off and see what happens.
        It's just a stock lvl7.

stick a couple of drops of oil into the power tube tip (or replace the power tube O-ring too) that may cause unecessary bolt stick...

And don't forget to turn the velocity screw up a bit, it could be turned right down.

Ask him if you can buy it for a discount so you can buy whatever is needed to fix it...or tell him to fix it for you.
