    wierd leak

i have just recently gotten a hold of a 68 mag. i was hooked when i read reviews from automag owners. but i cannot use it because there is a leak somewhere in the valve. when i gas it up everything is fine but once i pull the trigger it will burp and start to leak out of the barrel. trigger will sometimes stick.i make sure to pull back all the way. also soemtimes when it was kinda working it would work fine then would start to leak out of the barrel and freeze the top of the gun between the feed neck and the back of the valve. another question what is the cause when gun wont firebut everything is ok.

Co2 will freeze the o-rings in mags so that they no longer seal. Use hpa or at least a better expansion chamber/remote set up to fix the problem. I had those problems a lot when I used co2 in my mag. As for the mag not firing you might be out of air or the velocity is too low.

in addition to the co2 problem, it almost sounds like you have a pt p-ring that is spaced wrong. (bolt stick) you can fix it with a spacer kit, but I would jsut upfrade to the LX bolt. will fix more than just the leaking issue.

Mine is doing the same thing, but I have yet to swap out the WGP reg that I was using to an expansion chamber, but with the dropforward and the reg, I would almost assume that there is very little chance of liquid CO2 getting into the gun?

Spacer kit? You mean the bolt spacer? I just did upgrade to a Venturi bolt, but money is too tight to invest in the level 10 or HPA at the moment.

Co2 is not the main problem with the Automag. When the 'Mag was invented, Co2 was the only gas source available for paintball.

It's an o-ring problem. Replace and/or oil the o-rings first.

If it leaks down the barrel while the trigger is pulled and held back the leaking is in the on/off(probably the little hard o-ring on the top of the on/off). If it leaks down the barrel when you arn't touching the trigger the leak is in the power tube. If the regulator was leaking it would be out the rear of the marker where you adjust velocity. Good luck.

it does leak down the barrel when i pull the trigger back. so it might be a on/off problem got ya. but it also leaks when im not holding the trigger so can that be a power tube problem. so basicly i have to fix the on/off and power tube.

to fix it you need a new o ring. they are in every automag parts kit and can be found online at agd's web site.
