tryin to make a sydarm.

ok. i have all the basic easy stuff. now for the harder part. i have a standard feed breach. now i was told that the best way to go is get a powerfeed by pro-teams. not knowing what this is, some feedback would be good. what i was thinking was a little different. i was thinking about cutting the tube all the way down to the breech. they have a cheap ss barrel for 10 bucks that i would cut down. i take 2 powerfeed plugs to plug each end. ghetto rig a spring to one of the plugs and then weld it to the breach where the standard feed tube used to be. or maybe getting one of the pt extreme detatchable ones and putting it on top instead of ghetto rigging the barrel. i have access to a torch so i could do it that way, but i'm only worried about getting some of the sodder in the inside of the tube causing feeding problems. or unless one of you techs might have a sydarm body you'd be willing to GIVE/sell me, that would be awesome.
