    New Xvalve\lvlX tuning Issue

    Hi all.

Just got my brother a Xvalve but I am having some issues getting it tuned. Ive done this 3 times before but cant seem to figure out what I am doing wrong this time.

    Here are the details.

2.5 carrier no shims - leak down barrel
2.0 carrier no shims - leak down barrel
1.5 carrier no shims - leak down barrel
1.0 carrier no shims - no leak, gun wont fire
0.5 carrier no shims - no leak, gun wont fire

Im not sure what to do next. Ive tried using all 4 of my nitro tanks + 1 CO2 tank. Ive moved the velocity up to the point just before it vents out the back and Ive moved it all the way down also.

I have him using the middle spring.

Ive had issues where the initial lvl X tune would have bolt stick, etc but never had it so the trigger had tension but wouldnt fire.

Im not really sure how to proceed from here.

    Thanks for any help,

    David.

ps. Ive been using the lvl X guide and the search feature but havent found what I need yet.

Hi maybe try the short spring first.
I had the same problem with the middle spring. After a while shooting i changed it to the middle spring. After that it was ok.

    hope that helps

hey there.... if you have a leak, try shooting on it for about 20 shots... sometimes things just need to set in... other than that check out my help page

Hello, Try short spring #2 carrier and 2 shims...that seems to fix all level 10s I have worked on.

Have you tried different carrier o-rings. You may have a bad one. You are going about your tunup correctly. Don't use any shims. Try the shorter bolt spring. It will allow more forward force on the bolt without increasing the pressure to the point of venting out the back.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
