Can't feed fast enough for my mag.

Ok, I can bet that most of you would never think that in this day and age you would here this about a paintball gun but my mag shoots WAY TO FAST! I have an X valve being fed by a Dynaflow tank/reg, with the input turned up so I am able to sweet spot the trigger. Well, even after pushing paint through an Empire B, and turning the input pressure back down, the mag still chuffs as the LVLX resets itself in mid cycle and then double feeds causing the next ball to slam into the one that managed to feed in there on the chuff. I need to know how to take about 3-5bps out of the cyclic rate of the valve. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

you should not be outshooting a reloader b. something isnt right there. either your hopper is low on batterys, not on a high enough setting, or your lvl10 isnt tuned properly.

ive put an rt into runaway before and couldnt outshoot my halo with victory board, and that loads as fast as a reloader.

plus you said you turned the input back down. deffinatley sounds like level 10 adjustment to me.

The batterys are new, the settings are for sound sensitivity, not feed rate (I think),
and the LVLX is not breaking balls, it will chuff out instead of chop.
Zak Vetter proclaims that he has clocked a mag at 34+ cycles per second, I know of nothing that will feed that fast.
Please, what LVLX adjustment would you recomend?

settings on reloaders are for feed rate same as the victory board on halos. make sure its at the highest setting.

zak clocked the mag in his videos using a q-loader. there is however another video at his site where he gets 32 bps (actual 32 balls in one second, not a burst) on a v board halo.

sounds like the lvl10 is a bit to sensitive, and is stoping early. try a shim.

I will work with the settings as soon as I get home!

I will add a shim before I retest.

This is awsome, thanks for the help.

i think im wrong on that one, just looked over my notes(yes i have notes on tuning the lvl10) you should actually remove a shim, not add a shim. adding a shim would cause the lvl10 to vent earlier, making your problem worse. by removing the shim, it will cause the bolt to vent later, hopefully removing your problem.

The factory recomends 2 shims right? Should I still remove one if thats all that is in there?

factory recomends 2 to start tuning with, i know one of my lvl10's has none, and one has 3. try removing one and see if its any better.

Not a Mag problem. Double feeding is from the HALO or Empire B force feeding the balls past the detents. Try getting the new magnetic detents from Kileua Kid.

Empire B feeds the same as the HALO B. About 30+ bps.

I may look into other detents but since this is a micromag, I would have to have the body measured and then drilled. I will look at this as a possible explaination though. Thanks
