    fractured my Tac-One body

Last week I fractured my Tac-One body while trying to mount a sling mount to it. The mount was a tad to tight so I took it down to my vice and bent it open. I then tried to attach it to my Tac. It was a bit snug and I lightly tapped it on with a plastic mallet. I brought it up to the store to get some advice from an AGD tech. and he had a hard time putting my x-valve back in after taking it out. He noticed the fracture right along the rail (body fracture).

Does anyone know if I cand mend this? I play scenario and really could use a sling but was discouraged from putting the mount back on the same place...The only place it would work right for me.

Can I fill the fracture with anything?

If the hole is big enough, JB Weld should do the trick. That stuff can fix anything.

Would like to have a sling.....

I really would like to mount the sling back on. My concern is about the weight of the sling pulling on the fracture..........It seems to tweak the body and result in a leak.

      Thanks for the tips!

I used to use a sling... I put one of those plastic u shaped clips (that they use to bundle wires, it has a hole for a screw or nail) between the feild strip screw and the grip frame. I used a metal ring (available at any hardware store) in the wire clip, and would attach a sling to that. I know im not explaining it very clearly, if I can find a pic of the parts I will post it.

Yeah, pics would be nice. This is what I use to mount a sling:

It's mounted on the rear, left side rail. It works great for me. No problems.
