Here's whats going on. Every time I air up my ULE is fires a shot.. I havent used it all that much yet but I do find it a little spooky. Pulled it apart & looked at my sear & saw what looks like lazer slag on the edges. I don't know if AGD lazers out the sear or not. Could this be whats causing it to cycle ? Anyone else run across this issue? Thinking of ordering a new sear to see if it fixes it.
Need input!! Having ULE cycle 1 shot when I gas up.

I would try taking the safety off and pulling to trigger a couple of times to make sure the sear is not disengaged. If that doesn't work, don't add paint until you air up... I have had the same problem, I just never worried about it, so let me know if it works. -
I've got the same problem and my sear is fine. I've never seen a good explanation of why this happens or how to correct it. I can honestly say it's the only problem I've ever had with a mag. I tend to stick my finger in the breech when I gas it up to stop it from firing.Eric Cartman

it happens for a long time with RT mags.... Mine stopped doing it with regularity about a month ago, and that was after 9 months of use or more.. dont worry about it... just put the paint in last...
And pulling the trigger on gas up will NOT help most of the time, so dont bother.
and the problem is in the valve itself due to the tight tolerances and high pressures at play... it doesnt have to do with the ULT or lvl 10.... clearly, cause you dont have ULT...

What you're saying makes sense, but that's the first time I've heard of it happening with the standard on/off. Mine certainly never did it until I installed the ULTOriginally posted by CaliMagFanand the problem is in the valve itself due to the tight tolerances and high pressures at play... it doesnt have to do with the ULT or lvl 10.... clearly, cause you dont have ULT...

the reason that we know its not on/off related is that the issue can still occur when the trigger is pulled at gas-up... when you pull the trigger and hold it during gas-up, the on/off is out of the equation.

mine does it too...
on gas up with either my finger on the trigger, or with it off...
sometimes it doesn't do it though.... baffling!

I got my X-valve and ule at world cup in oct and mine will do it on the fist gass up of the day normally unless i take it apart then it will do it again from my understanding it does this cause the on/off needs some air to keep it down or "cocked" when it is not down air can pass throught it causeing a shot i watched patato boy tech a few guns at cup and he actually bleeds the air in the valve after the gun has been de-gasses after some looking i just assume it was normal and work wiht it my guns shoots fin other wise they tuned my LX perfect so i'd say if that is your onlt problem let it be unless i'm worng and a tech can tell us why it does this and how to fix it
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

This has been an issue with the mags for a long time. even some of the old classics did it. Just do as those above said and add paint last.Comment

You can reduce this issue by lubing up the valve and breaking in the o-rings.
The problem is the on/off pin doesn't move down fast enough to latch the sear to the bolt so you get a shot that goes off when the gun is first gassed up. A split second after the shot the sear starts to latch on the bolt and then the gun is ready to go.
If you think about it, the only reason why the on/off pin would move too slow is because the o-ring friction is too much. Reduce this by putting a bit of o-ring grease on the on/off center and top o-rings and keep the valve lubed with oil.
I have an X-RTP with ULT and Flatline and have never had a first shot go off when I gas up the gun.Comment
