if you loc-tite it, you ain't gonna get that sucker out easily
just snug it up with a pair of pliers & you'll be fine
i personally "scored" the threads with a dremel so theres a few small burrs on the threads that make it harder to take it in and out, but can still be done w/o toolsProud Member Of The AO Cesspool Since 08-24-2002Comment

Keep in mind you don't want it to come loose easily. I have spent more time retiming people's cockers because the back block has come loose. Also, the point where it needs to be st for proper timing is not always a point where it can be tightened down with a wrench. As long as you use ONE drop of BLUE loctite, taking it loose won't be that much of a problem. Just know that that is the proper timing setup first.Comment

use a few wraps of teflon tape. that will keep it from being too tight, and still be able to take out easily. i wouldnt use loctite, it could make it really hard to take out. There also is a few hammers for cockers that have nylon locking lugs for the Hammer lug and Cocking rod, that work well.
Shane-OI have nothing good to put here...........
