Hey everyone. I've seen quite a few posts here about bounce with the mag/ult, how does this compare -if at all- to say an A-5 with an RT trigger? Is it anywhere similar, or much easier to accomplish with the ult? Honestly, I tried my friend's tippmann with response and found it to be kind of heavy, didn't really see the point of it. Is it worth trying to get some bounce out of my ult (when my mag gets here)? If the effect is anything like that of the tippmann response, I don't think I'd be interested. Oh, I play a lot of woods and scenario, and am well aware that bounce is not allowed in tourneys. One more thing, do bounce and walking the trigger have anything to do with eachother, or are they completely different things? Thanks.

the response trigger on the tippmanns are kinda crappy. i couldnt get that thing to bounce if i tried...
it might be worth it to try and get bounce from your ULT, and i will promise you it'll wield better results than the tippmann.
bouncing and walking the trigger dont really have anything to do with each other.Remember, nitrogen hits harder!

I've shot an RT'd 98 Custom and I own an Xvalved mag with ULT. The Tippmann is much easier to sweetspot. The pull is heavy but that's not the point. With a properly adjusted response trigger you can sweetspot (bounce) very easily and can reach up to around 18-20bps.
With a mag on the other hand, you will need a high output tank or one that is adjustable. You'll need to be able to get up to around 900-1000psi. A ULT'd mag with an RT style valve and a preset tank will not bounce nearly as well as a Tippmann. However with an adjustable air source you will find that both will shoot very similarly. The only difference is that the Tippmann will have a harder kick back.
I like the feel of the Tippmann RT. It's not crude like many people on this forum say. It's very smooth when adjusted properly via the knurled adjuster on the side of the gun. If you can't sweetspot a Tippmann RT you either aren't fiddling with the knurled knob or you don't know what sweetspotting is.Comment
