Change 9v to a 12v Revvy?

OK, I have an old 9v revvy. I am not sure if it is the old style VL but I am pretty sure it is. Now I was wondering if I could put the new 12v x-board into it and thus making my revvy a 12v. I figgure this is a lot cheaper than spending 60 bucks on a new hopper. Will I need to replace anything else to make it work?

I dont think you can put a 12v X-board in a 9v hopper but if you wanna make your hopper better buy a turbo rev they upgrade your circut board and add a batter terminal so i now takes two batteries instead of one. you can get them here

i did this. it works great, b/c the motors and eyes are the same. the only thing you gotta do is get a new paddle. the xboard paddle was too big for my revy shells, and the 9v paddle is wimpy. theyre only like 2.50 tho

Thanks...only prob is that they wanna charge me 6 bucks for shipping on a 2 dollar little impeller...I'll have to give them a buzz and see if I can get that changed!
