    sanding outside of valve

ok well i was wondering if it would be possible to sand the outside of an emag valve so it was all chrome. i really do not know if it would screw annything up or annything so i am asking people.

otherwise can you anno a valve? i didn't think you could from this other thread i was reading... but might broing it up anyway.

Uh,.... 'sanding' of ANYTHING is really not a good idea.

It is, however, possible to polish the valve. It would require you to remove the anno, which can be done with oven cleaner. There are lots of articles about this, you can do a google search, but I think Warpig.com has a few.

I have found that unfinished aluminum doesnt stay pretty for very long, even when polished. You might want to look into just having it re-annoed. Talk to Tunaman, I think he is the ONLY one that can re-anno an AGD valve where it wont void the warranty.

I was thinking about doing the same thing, but I wasn't sure if the tolerences would still be okay. I'll do some searches too and I'll tell ya what I find.

last I remembered, and corect me if I'm wrong, but the E-mag valves are stainless steel. The x-valves are aluminum.

            up on the idea

Have retro valve. options on removing the anno. More considering the stainless look.

Retro/emag valves are half stainless and half aluminum. Personally, I wouldn't "sand" any thing.

I have polished the anno off of an xvalve and it still worked great.

I'd like to polish my valve too. I just want to be sure on everything before I do it though.
AIR valve is steel, correct? Could I just use a dremel and a felt wheel to polish it? My mag would look really sharp with a polished valve.

Polish and a felt wheel would do a great job on a stainless emag valve.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

This will void your warranty also. So be careful.

it will if you polish far enough down to rub off the serial number which isnt to far down since its just lazer etched in. now given the amount of metal that comes off depends on the hardness of your wheel and the grit of your polish
