flatline leak

I have a 6800/45 that has been stored for the winter months. It was stored with a few hundred psi in the tank - didn't think it would hurt it. Anyway, I hooked it up and turned it on and air immediately started leaking out the hole at the very front. I am going to degass it and follow the maintenance post. Just wondering if there is anything in particular I should be looking out for.

If a manual came with the flatline, I have long since lost it. I'd appreciate it if someone point me to some info on leaking flatlines. Anyone?

That sounds to me like a VERY dead regulator piston o-ring. What you're describing is something along the lines of a leak out of the hole in the center of the velocity adjuster nut on a Mag valve.

Unscrew the regulator adjustment thingy (sorry, it's really early for me), remove the cradle from the regulator, unscrew the reg halves from eachother and pop the reg piston out the front. If you have a piston o-ring from a mag rebuild kit you might be able to steal that as a replacement. Otherwise the regulator piston o-rings from WGP cocker rebuild kits work too (at least on my 68/4500).

If the O-Ring looks good then chek the regulator seat (little red thingy that was attachted to the reg piston) and check that for damage.

Sounds like your Flatling just wasn't in a spot that was condusive to the longevity of polymer seals. Actually storing a tank with pressure left in it isn't a bad thing to do, in fact I'd almost recommend it (around 300psi).

I've got the flatline disassembled to where I have the reg body unscrewed. Now I can't get the locking nut off to take the internals out. Any suggestions for doing this? I have tried holding the main part with a strap wrench and using pliers on the nut. No go.

Also, I would contact AGD directly, but the techs are supposed to hang out here. This is where we are directed to go seeking help. So far the lack of views to this thread would lead me to believe that the techs can't be bothered are are just uninterested. If I can't get help here, can I get them on the phone? Can I send my tank back to AGD for service?

try backing the adjustment nut out with an allen wrench, that's always worked for me if the lock-nut is too tight.

Thank you. Appreciate the help. Unfortunately, nothing seems to work. Both the lock nut and the adjustment nut are not budging.
I've used the tank from day one right out of the box and never had an issue. This leak was the first and now the issue with disassembly. Everything is stuck. Bumming me out.
