LVL 7 Foamie VS. LVL 10

    Hey,

I was wondering, I get terrible air efficiency out of my LVl 10. I saw on devils den a lvl 7 foamie kit. Will this give my mag better gas conservation. If it does will it increase the chance of chopping.

My current marker is a MiniMag with an x valve, ULT body, ULT trigger, Lvl 10, Hyperframe, Empire barrel kit, gas thru grip, shocktech DF, and a standard Mag rail.

    Thanks for the help!!!

you will most likly chop alot of paint. sad to say, but i have an emag and i wish i could chuck the lvl10 too. i just miss the easy no muss, no fuss lvl7. theres just too much down in that power tube that i don't understand. and i hate having to tune the 10. boy, i wish i had a good set of break beam eyes on my emag...

A level 10 with the shortest spring is almost as efficient as a stock level 7 bolt and still gives good antichop. The shortest spring is also much more forgiving in the setup than the longer springs.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

I prefer the L7 foamie bolt. Just make sure that the foamie is well "superglued" on...clean the bolt head thoroughly, rough the surface a bit, then superglue the foamie on. If you are using a twist lock barrel, make sure you are using the plastic nubbin. If you are using the ULE body, make sure the detent is adjusted nicely to prevent double feeds (of the dreaded partial feed or 1 1/2 ball feed), use a dependable fast loader, and most importantly.....use quality paint. Crappy paint will break with the burst of air...with or without the L10....with or without "eyes".......so keep that in mind. I played this past weekend without a break. using the brand "x-ball " paint.
