    Possible bolt stick with new rail

    hi guys and gals

    I got a lovely new wingless rail from RogueFactor a couple of weeks ago and when I first gassed it up, it wouldn't fire at all... no problems I thought, I'll have a quick word with Rogue. He said I'll need to add more shims to my ULT. OK I thought, easy....

    stripped the gun apart and started adding shims. Sometimes it will fire other times it won't

    so I added more shims. all I get now is wicked rapid fire (while fun is illegal @ a tourney!) at about 20bps or if I remove one shim, I will get bolt stick after 5 or 6 quick shots - I then have to reset the bolt manually.

    I have adjusted the torque of both front frameand field strip screws....

    I have gone through 2 68/45 tanks of air trying to get it sorted....

    can anyone help?

    hmm

    hmm maybe the front frame screw is too tight .. give that a shot ..

      I tried that to no avail......

      I have to have so many shims in the ULT it's very hard to get the valve in the body!

      but I have to have that many or the bolt doesn't reset

      now...

      is it a LVL10 problem (it is tuned lovely @ the moment) or is it a ULT prob

        When your bolt sticiks can you reset it by pushing it back with your finger? If so tighten both screws equally tight, snug the fieldstrip with a key. Make sure your level ten is the loosest without leaking, also from personal experience i didnt have much luck with the ult until i switched to an adjustable, make sure your tank is really putting out 850. Mine said 850 output but was only putting out like 700 when tested with a good gauge.

          the bolt stick is only very light and can be reset easily....

          I haven't tried changing the LVL10 carier yet (because I have been using the ULT and LVL10 as it is with no problem on the old RTP rail) as I didn't think that would be an issue...

          I shall try that as soon as I get some air....

          though I must agree that the rapid fire thingy is hella cool

          as far as the tank pressure, it's a crossfire preset, so it should be pretty good...
          never had a problem with it when using the ULT BEFORE I changed the rail to the new one and if I put the old rail back on, it runs brilliantly again....
