AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Yes, Epoxy is the best bet. Make sure you scrape off the old stuff on the bolt face, and then wipe the bolt and foamie down with rubbing alcohol. Then apply the kind of epoxy that needs to be mixed to both the bolt and the foamie. Let cure for 24 hours. If you need to use the gun before it dries fully, glue the foamie on after. It'll still work fine without it and a lot of people just leave it off for good.
What everyone did plus, sand the foamie on the glue side, take a dremel and make a small dent in the middle of the foamy. I use JB Weld for any epoxy. My foamies are staying on an average of a year.
