I just got my first Mag too
, it's like a Shocker with coolness!
Do: buy an HPA setup, with high output pressure, save up for an X-valve, or at least Level 10 kit, and like its been said, keep it oiled.
Don't: run CO2, unless you use something to keep liquid out (remote, gas thru grip, anti-siphon bottle)Comment

you're using a classic mag, so co2 wont be a problem, but hpa will definately help you.
DO: oil it, take it apart and put it together once or twice before playing with it. preferably, you can take it apart a few days ahead of time so that if you have problems putting stuff back together, AO can help you before you need to use it. I would leave the valve how it is until you get comfortable with the rest of the gun. then after you've run some air thru it and understand how all the parts work(and basic tech-ing) you can take the classic valve apart and figure out how that works. you dont really need to do any of this other than the oil, but its fun, and you dont want to get stuck sometime with a leak and not know how to fix it. plus, it gives you something to do for a few minutes(i made it last all of 8 hours, and i've only had my mag for a couple months. it hasnt even had a chance to get dirty yet.)you know you play this game too much when the neighbors stop fixing their broken windows...
