    Tac one issues

Hey guys, Im new to the forum, Im glad to be here. You all have quite a wealth of information assembled here, and though I sifted through it, I didnt find the answer I was looking for. First of all, the tac1 is my first automag and I adore it. I had a 98c before and the tac1 is a million times better, by far. I love this gun. Anyways, Im having a slight problem. When I fire with the RT, the trigger "button" (I dont know what to call it- the pin that the trigger pushes in to engage the firing mechanism) usually works, but when firing quickly in a string the "button" gets stuck. Is this a problem with my ULE? perhaps my tank? I run a 68/45 at 800 psi. oh, and every now and then, the bolt will also get stuck, and i have to use my finger to reset it. It kind of sounds like a pressure problem to me, but I dont know enough about the gun to fix it. Thus I came here. I also have some other regulators- a palmer and a maxflo. Should I use them? what good will they do? Oh, by the way, has anyone found some scope mounts/ red dot sights that actually fit the sight rails on this thing? the rails are really wide. Thanks guys

If it's fairly new you need to break in the level10. Just oil everything, fill your tank, and shoot shoot shoot, add more oil, and shoot some more. Your not leaking so you should have the settings right. Just oil, shoot, and get through that break-in period and you'll have yourself a great marker. And the button you're talking about is called the sear rod.

The X-Valve has a reg already but you could use your Max-Flo. Keep the pressure at about 800-850 to operate your Tac-One, or turn it up to get a nice reactive trigger. Be careful because too much input pressure will cause the gun to runaway (full auto) once you gas up.

I edited my first post so read the new info in that.

Drop about 5 drops of oil into your air fitting that is attached to the side of your valve, connect your air line, gas up, and start shooting. Thats the best way I've found to get oil through the everything, just keep your barrel off or else you'll have oil all in your barrel.

thanks. And one more thing: when I remove my tank from my gun and then put it back on it fixes the problem and I continue shooting away. I dont know if that changes your answer?

Nope. The bolt is resetting either way, just push it back with your finger to save the hassle. Just keep dropping oil into that air fitting, a little on the bolt, and a drop or two between the halves of your valve. It will eventually stop sticking and you'll probably only need to oil it once a month from then on.

            I went from a 98c to a Tac-One too

            Good luck,
            D

Dont oil your bolt or spring. Keep them dry. You may need to add a shim to your level 10. Try that if it isn't resetting.
