    Weird stuff with older mag.

Its been awhile since I have tinkered with a mag ( used to own an old 68classic back in the day), and this weekend a younger player came to the local field with a sick mag. What was happening is that when the marker was gassed up and the trigger was pulled nothing would happen at all, there was resistance on the trigger, as if it was actuating the on/off, but nothing was happening. So I proceeded to remove the on off, and was confronted with somthing that looked strange to me. Here is a pic of what the on/off looks like.

I remember the on/off assembly looking like this (taken from agd's site):

Im not sure what could be the problem, or even if he has the correct parts for the on/off. It's way different then anything I remember about my mag, or that I can find on any of the agd sites.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

If I were you, I'd just go ahead and replace that with a stock agd on/off. That actually looks like its only part of an aftermarket one. I may be wrong about that, but I would bet on it being the problem.

i think thats about right. I'd love to see if that on/off did anything for the marker when it was completly intact. then again, it may be an olllllld school mag on/off. i wouldn't know :P

That looks like an old Reactor valve, but its missing 1 peice, a aprox 1/8inch "washer" that if found would go to the outside of the assambly.
The reactor valves were an inprovment over the on/off when I got my first mag in early 1995 but the current AGD on/off is the best you can get. Have the person order a new on/off from AGD and it will be great

sounds good, thats what I'll tell him, anyone know of any decent agd distributors in canada? I am having troubles finding one that carries agd parts.
