    Setup questions

Hello all! You seem to have a really nice forum here, I look forward to getting to know this place better. I have been lurking around for a few days and have a couple questions.

I am new to AGD so Im kinda confused about the different models and the options available. I have noticed alot of posative remarks about the Tac One on the other forums I visit. Will you help me out?

I currently have a Tippmann A5 run remote on co2 with a Palmers stabalizer and egrip with a Hammerhead Barrel kit. I play woodsball/scenario I am primarily a front player but also play mid-support and sniper. I am more interested in the one or two shot kill and having a good rate of fire as backup.

What I am looking for is accuracy then reliability and easy maintainance in a more compact, lighter marker. The setup I want to do is with a Warp or Q-loader on a side feed with a Red Dot sight on the top rail, and a stock. I want a real low profile marker. Can I do this with the Tac One, or do you have any other recommendations for me?

    Thank You

    Silk*

Hey Silk...are you thinking of getting a Mag? I sold my A-5 and got a mag about two weeks ago. There is a world of difference for me. I have much better accuracy now! I know am not answering your question but if you want to shoot my mag next time we play together let me know.

On a side note it took me 10 mins to dissassemble and clean the mag, took 30 mins to do the wifes A-5.

I bought a used 68 classic, came with a freak barrel. I have been running co2 with a remote and a 6 stage x-chamber. I am fairly sure the classic valve is the only one that can take co2 as long as you use the other two (remote and x-chamber) with it. Used it yesterday in the 35 degree weather up at bushwacker and it didn't even flinch.

except now it has a blue exchamber on it and the body is black

The Tac meets all of your requirements. With the ULT you can easily pull nice long ropes of paint. And incase you didn't know the ULT is the Ultra Light Trigger Pull Kit. It is a drop in on/off that lightens the pull of your Mag. It does NOT shorten the pull like some people will say.

Since your more of a scenario player you'll probably like all the mounting spots on the Tac. If you were more concerned about keeping in tight around bunkers then a ULE Warp body would be for you but there is no where to mount anything. I used to have a Tac and loved it. Very simple to mantain and troubleshoot. It is the perfect scenario gun.

Thanks for the info! The ULT sounds good.(thanks for the description :) ) Can I get a side feed on the Tac One? Or if I need to use the Warp body can I mount some rails to it for the Red Dot?

              Thank you

Nope there's no way of getting a Warp Tac Body. You can still run a Warp feed with a Tac body but the feedneck will stick out a little when coming out of a bunker. If you do get a ULE Warp Body I don't think there's a way to mount anything.

Nope, sold the warp. Mounted it, tried it, worked great...just not my style.

I never liked the look or feel of the warp...I feel its still bulky despite its effort not to be. The q-loader seems really really nice and expensive so if you got the cash go for it. The only problem I see with the Q-loader is the pods empty fast, I think they're only 100 round guppys so if you ever go electro you wouldn't want that..

All said and done my mag has been reliable for 4 years now, and maaaddd easy to maintain...As for your barrel choice I'd say go with a freak kit or just three inserts (small, medium, large) as you would def put good use to it if your a rec ball player that enjoys playing in N E weather.

Its looking like the RT is what I need to do the job. I have not found a Warp Feed body for the Tac One.

Are there any more suggestions from all of you?

                        Thank you
