Hey, i just bought my first automag and am thinking about using compressed air. im looking at a Kingman Java preset N2 48ci/3000psi tank to try it out. my question is can i use this tank becuase the automag has a built-in regulator? the automag runs at 375 psi right? this tank runs at 850 psi. thanks for your replys.

I've never heard of an automag running at 375psi, but if you have the cash shoot for a carbon fiber wrapped tank.

The tank will work fine, but you won't get very many shots off of such a small tank. You'll probably only get about 400 shots. A 68ci 3k psi would be better, about 600 shots.

In reality if you have a classic mag you dont need HPA but its always a plus...with everything up above that you need HPA but the mag needs around 800psi in the tank to function right so yeah that tank wont get many shots. Try to get a 68/45 tank if its possible in your budget.

The air pressure inside the mag is around 375psi. The mag has an integrated regulator that can use a much higher input pressure. It is designed to use 800psi tanks which is based on the CO2 bottle pressure (ie; they are interchangeable).

Automags run at about 800-850 psi. Don't bother getting such a small tank because automags are gas hogs. I suggest getting a 68 ci 4500 psi fiber-wrapped tank, they're light, and you get a lot of shots and it's a good size for any type of game.
