hey, im sorry that this is another one of those "my mag won't fire" threads, but i just spent about half an hour teching my gun, don't know whats wrong, have been reffing all day in the hillside, and have bad bad bad allergies... i feel like... just bad. so im going to take the easy way out and ask all you very knowledgable people about waht might be causing my marker not to fire.
gun specs:
cf emag
3.2 software
xvalve
lvl10
A+ clamping feedneck
45/4500 flatline tank
connecting flatline to xvalve using about 8 inches of macro.
what i did:
last wednesday, i aired up my new flatline tank for the first time, had a few problems, due to me being a total newb witht he tank, but i got everything worked out. no permanent damage. i took the tank/gun to a big open field near where i live and shot around 200 old soft paintballs. the tank worked fine. i had the pressure around 1000-1100 psi, using a combination of mech-rapidfiring and electro-walking the trigger. the gun worked flawlessly. when i got to my dads house, i took the xvalve apart, switched o-rings to the next smallest carrier(lvl10 was hitting quite hard, i wanted softer) put some oil in the 90 elbow(which then moved up to the xvalve) and dry fired the remainder of my air into some kleenexes(sp?). gun was still working flawlessly. i stuck my finger in there, and was amazed at how light the lvl10 was.(i assume it is/was properly tuned now, feels like dropping a shoe on your finger from 2 inches above).
today i reffed at my local field. at the end of the day, i got a tank fill to 3000 psi.i drove home, turned the tank from on to off. great, the sear pops out like it always has. not so great, i pull the trigger(in mech) and it doesn't fire. not only does it not fire, but the bolt doesnt even move. its not like when you fire, and the bolt sticks an 8th inch from the back position, leaks, and waits for you to stick your finger in it and push it back. it feels like when you dont have enough pressure to cycle the bolt, and you just push the on/off pin up and down without enough pressure for the bolt to move forward once released. i had turned down the output pressure in my tank previously, and just in case the guage was 100 psi off or something, i went and got an alan wrench, and put the pressure up to 1000 psi. nothing. exaclty the same. i increased the velocity, degreased the velocity, decreased the pressure. when taking off the xvalve, (still had pressure in it) the on/off assembly popped out and i leaked my air out(good thing, just the pressure int he xvalve and macro line) and then got stuck on the rail as i tried to pull it out. i stuck the thubscrew in the hole, and pushed it back in enough to take the valve out, then stuck it the rest of the way back int he hole with my hand. *is it supposed to pop out like that under pressure?* i mean the whole on/off assembly, not just the on/off pin. anyways, I took the xvalve out, oiled the bolt(in case of bolt-stick) put more oil in the 90 degree elbow. assembled it, same problem. occasionally it would fire, but it was like when the xvalve was half out, and not where it was supposed to be at all. completely random.
anyways, i thought i knew most of what could happen to a mag, but this stumped me, if anyone knows what it is, please help me. thanks
