    I've Tried EVERYTHING!!!

Alright, so here it is...I'm stumped beyond belief. So is the owner of the field i play at who is a certified airsmith and former mag owner. We sat for an hour and a half and tried everything we each knew to get my mag to work...and still nothing. So here's the problem...it airs up and the trigger rod clicks forward, with what feels like the correct tension on it. Pull the trigger, and nothing happens. I have the level 10 installed, and we tried every possible combination of carrier/ shims/ mainspring. Every o ring in the valve is brand new, and we even tried replacing the level 10 completely with a level 7 and same problem was still present. ON/OFF pin is in perfect condition, and we tried extending the length of the trigger rod, and even reducing the trigger stops. The sear is in good condition and sticks out far enough to have no problem coming into contact with the on/off. I'm fresh out of ideas of any kind. Need some certified AGD tech help from some fellow AOers. Oh, and it's an original Retrovalve. Oh, and yes my tank was full, and the velocity was varied from all the way down to all the way up on every adjustment to the level 10 we made.

First things first- put your trigger rod back to spec. And also make sure the trigger rod is the correct length for your application.

Trigger rod was put back to original length after we extended it to see if that would help. Is there nothing I can do besides sending it to a genius like tuna? I'd like to not have to send it away if at all possible.

Are you sure the on/off pin is the correct length? Depending on what kind of rail you're using you may want to pick up another on/off pin to eliminate that as a factor.

Well, I'd like to assume that it's the correct length. It's a minimag rail, and it's the stock RT on/off assembly. Are there different length pins?

that and the trigger rod is the first thing id check, then do check that you have the pressure set high enough, another thing that can cause that is the field strip screw being to tight. If all that is fine check the reg piston and o-ring. btw what body and rail are you using?

Using the ULE body and intelliframe on a minimag rail. What should be done to the trigger rod? What length on/off pins are there? I'd have to order one of those i suppose ? I hate having to wait for parts to arrive to have my mag work, but if that's what it's going to take then i guess i'll have to...oh, and the reg piston and o ring are in great shape, we checked that already.

You may have the .765 on/off pin. The minimag rail requires the .750. Someone verify this before you go out and buy the .750 pin.

Also, the ULE bodies can be picky when it comes to the amount of torque put on them. If you have a SS body lying around try that. If you don't have one then do your best to tighten the front frame screw and field strip screw the same. Finger tighten them first and then usually all that is needed is a 1/4 of a turn with an allen wrench.

If none of these works it is either the output of your tank or the o-rings in your on/off.

Still out of ideas...like I said, we checked all o rings, and they're all brand new. The output of the tank is fine, and i'm pretty sure the on off pin is the correct size. One other thing that happened...while I was playing around with the carrier sizes and shims, I believe it was with a smaller carrier and no shims, I turned the velocity all the way up and air started leaking out the back, then i turned it down and pulled the trigger and it fired one shot, then nothing again. I did this again and another single shot, then nothing. So after the one shot it went back into tension but no shooting mode. Any fresh ideas, or am I going to have to get ahold of tuna and send it off?

Oh, and I tried the thing with tightening the screws evenly- nothing still.

Ok, heres what you have to do. Turn the velocity as high as it will go without leaking. If it still doesn't shoot, go down to a smaller spring. I had the longest spring installed in the Lvl 10, and I hope Emert included all the springs that I sold him. I think your problem is that you are using too long of a spring. Once it starts firing, chrono it to a consistant velocity. I don't think the on/off pin length is the problem, because I used it on an AM/MM rail when I owned it.

Well, no help with the smaller spring I'm afraid. Also, one other thing I noticed...there's no click when the marker is aired up. I remember with my other mag there was a click when the trigger rod went forward, but with this one there isn't one...??????
