    baffled wit my new/used mag

i have a 3 problems with my mag
    1 cosmetic
    1 barrel related
    1 internal problem
i will start with the most critical my internal problem I am familliar with some common problems due to a few mags i snagged off ebay for some friends like air pressure (keep in mind the other mag i had i sold off ) I decide that having a mag in my collection for keeps would be great soo i decide to let go of a cocker i never used for 125 few days later I buy a mag from the local store from the used section for 100 bucks nothin special plain mag classic wit a shock tec valve all american barrel --
    - aaahh i say that is a great winter prodject i'll build a new fun gun. a new gun for me, but to see that the job gets done I will not play with anything but a pumpgun while building this gun - so i begin to develop a idea of what i want in a mag so i can make it what i want without goin overboard
black and silver as a color sceme for the whole gun , Intelli - level 10 - big tank and a nice Barrel (remember i will not fire this gun till i get all the parts)
so i do some lookin around decide that i want a big tank for a gun that has a great appitite for air. I go with air america cause i have trusted them forever any problems I have i send em back to the company and let the lifetime warrenty take care of the rest. I buy a 114ci raptor... max output 1300-1500 i get a good deal with a guy off automags.org airsystems fine and dandy
i get the rest of the parts from AO FORUMS
so heres the problem i air up the tank after i get the lines i want turn it to about 800 hit my slidecheck and nothin.... I here the air enter the hose and the body then stop as if it hit a wall the pressure on the velocity screw makes it tight enough to where it is difficult to turn.... loose trigger just kinda hangin there flopin around -- so i'm pissed
i take the gun apart to find when i remove the on off my pin is still jammed in place by the orings wich took some manual coaxing to get out. 2ndly that the on/off top is some little brass thing with a + cut in the top... not stock so help me out all thats all i know if anyone has extra a extra on off top --- or rebuild kits i need the rings for near the on off top give me a holler i'll buy them any advice is appreciated

    cosmetic
because of the drop on my tank i have no way to run a slidecheck close to the tank and be able to have my foregrip... would it be getto to get a asa -- run a converter to 1/8 nipple then hook up the slidecheck as a foregrip

    barrel related
my barrel is verry tough to get out cause it dosen't allow for much clearance for orings but without it ... it can't house the ball detent --- it's a royal pain Plus the tip is stuck on without ruining the barrel anno or ss how can i make a oring disintigrate melt
    and thats it

The on/off you have could be stock simply old stock on/off i beleave teh "x" goes on the bottom, Refer to Lingae AGD a while back switched to the newer top which has no 'top' side, If you want a new one you can get them direct from AGD www.airgun.com

You said it was extremely hard to pull your on/off assembly out might want to check it. they are usualy fairly easy to take out, make sure your on/off pin isn't bent, oil liberaly

The fact you gun doesn't fire at all, hmm....

first does the trigger touch the sear rod that pin that connects to the bottom of the sear and then goes behind the trigger, if it's to short you can unscrew it from the sear a little to move it closer to the trigger, since you said it "flops around" Although mags have no trigger spring in them so any extra play in the trigger even if it's set right will let it "flop" a little on the prepull.

second make sure the velocity is turned up high enough you might just have it turned down too low....or rather maybe this should be first and teh other one second....

Barrel issue, if it's an oldschool allamerican which i'm thinking it is although they look two peice they are only one, you can tell because on the old ones the back end is smooth with no milling on the out side of it.

The o-ring issue..they are nessesary to hold the detent in place, if they are to tight you can get new ones from AGD www.airgun.com However since the barrel isn't threaded the o-rings help hold it in place so there will alwasy be a little resistence.

Hope some of this help. Next tip of the day always try any gun before you buy if it's used.

          barrel

no the barrel is a j&j i was just gonna send it back and have josh send me a new one
i figured it out unfortunatly the problem was a easy fix previous owner had the on off stuff all backwards ex. the top was upsidedown and so was the pin (idiot) now to the next 3 task tuneing level 10, air delivery and sending that barrel back to j&j in smithville ohio
